CaringCharge for Watch 1.01

This application provides a semi-automatic method for managing the charging process of the Apple Watch, aiming to extend battery life when used with an outlet capable of interfacing via IFTTT Webhook.

Essentially, this app functions as an enhanced version of the standard WatchOS "Optimized Battery Charging" feature, offering configurable settings that allow users to customize charging behavior. For example, in "Normal" and "Cut at 80%" modes, the app halts charging upon reaching 80%, without resuming to full capacity. This flexibility is particularly useful for preserving battery health.

The underlying concept resembles that of the iOS app "ChargingCharge," with the primary distinction being the method of controlling the smart plug. Instead of leveraging HomeKit, this app utilizes the IFTTT Webhook service. The "Caring" mode suspends charging once 80% capacity is reached and resumes according to a user-defined schedule, whereas "Normal" mode continues charging until the pre-set capacity is reached, with automatic restart depending on the selected mode.

The "80% Cut-off Normal Charge Mode" is particularly suitable for storage scenarios, as overcharging or deeply discharging a battery can cause long-term damage.

To optimize performance, connect your charger to a compatible smart plug utilizing the IFTTT Webhook service. It is advisable to use chargers with lower current output to minimize potential battery degradation, even if charging speed is less rapid.

Due to limitations imposed by WatchOS, this app cannot fully operate in the background and thus cannot guarantee complete control over the charging process at all times. Nonetheless, it strives to execute as closely as possible to ideal conditions.

Users are recommended to disable "Optimized Battery Charging" within the device settings (Settings -> Battery -> Battery Health) to prevent conflicts with this application.

The two "Measure" modes are exclusively designed for evaluating charging speed and differ from similarly named functions within the "Caring Charge" iOS app.
